Curbie Lowery Ibrahim
Mrs. Curbie Lowery Ibrahim, our School Director, is a United States Citizen, who relocated to Lagos, Nigeria 7 years ago. She has over 10 years of Education experience in Teaching, both in the USA and Nigeria. She has previously worked at the American International School in Victoria Island, Lagos and Children’s International School in Lekki, Lagos. Mrs. Ibrahim has always had a passion for education which is no surprise that she obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana Tech University (USA) and proceeded on to obtain her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Louisiana College (USA). She is experienced in both the American and British Curriculum and prides herself in exposing her staff to both curriculum as well providing her staff with professional development opportunities.
Ms Katherine, our Early Years teacher, is a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic Auchi. She obtained her HND in Mass Communication. In addition, Ms Katherine has 4 years’ educational experience working with children. She is passionate about teaching children of different age groups as well as dedicated and committed to the social, academic growth and development of every child. Ms Katherine has experience in both Montessori and the UK Early Years Curriculum. When Ms Katherine is not teaching, she loves to listen to music and do arts and crafts.
Mrs Chizoma Ehiedu, our Early Year’s assistant teacher. She obtained a Bachelor of science in Microbiology from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Though a Science major, Mrs Chizoma has always had a passion for children. She is passionate and committed to providing every child various opportunities to express their potentials and believes that every child can be empowered to be an independent, innovative and a creative learner. Mrs Chizoma is currently undertaking a post graduate diploma in Education from the University of Lagos.
Mr Shoyele Oluwatobi, one of our teachers, obtained a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Mathematics from Covenant University. As a Math graduate and teacher, he realizes how important and delicate it is to develop the understanding and attitude towards calculations at a young age. He is passionate about teaching and making mathematics easy and fun as it should be. He loves to be part of a child’s progressive development. Outside teaching, Mr. Oluwatobi loves to run and dance.
Mr Blessed, our French Teacher, is an enthusiastic and committed teacher with a natural ability to appreciate and inspire children. He holds a Bachelor degree in architecture, from Anambra State University and Master’s degree in the same field. He believes in respect and mutual co-existence among people. Despite his architectural background, he thinks having privileged to have come from a multicultural environment from Cameroon will be an opportunity to educate young Nigerians especially as the country is bordered all through by French speaking countries. As a French and mathematics teacher with passion, he believes that professionalism and the balance of eccentricity makes way for success in the teaching profession. Aside critical thinking, he enjoys listening to music.
Florence Ali, one of our afterschool math teachers, obtained a bachelor of engineering in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from Madonna University. She has an analytical mind that helps her break down math problems, making it easy to assimilate for kids. As a teacher with experience in teaching kids both at secondary and primary levels, I understand that teaching math and learning should be fun especially for kids, as this helps them learn faster and easier. Aside from teaching, I love cooking and dancing.
